The Fédération Québécoise des Clubs Quads (FQCQ) is pleased to inform its members that the Delegate Minister for Transportation, Mr. Norman MacMillan, has recently issued a Ministerial Order to conduct a pilot project on side-by-side vehicles.
Pilot project for track systems for 4-wheel all-terrain vehicles
Montreal, February 24, 2010 – The Fédération Québécoise des Clubs Quads (FQCQ) is pleased to inform its members that the Delegate Minister for Transportation, Mr. Norman MacMillan, has issued a Ministerial Order to conduct a pilot project on track systems for 4-wheel all-terrain vehicles.
Legalization of transporting a passenger in an ATV / Driving course (27/07/2009)
Throughout Québec. Mandatory for persons 16 and 17 years of age and ATV club members carrying a passenger.
Starting now, members of ATV clubs in Québec may ride in pairs on federated trails. They must be at least 18 years of age and possess a certificate of competence for driving an ATV with a passenger. To obtain a certificate of competence in compliance with the law, ATV operators carrying a passenger must take the training course offered by the FQCQ by June 2010.

From now on, members of ATV clubs in Québec can ride two together in their ATV on federated trails. Indeed, on June 5, 2009, modifications in this respect were officially adopted by the National Assembly and integrated into the Act respecting Off-highway Vehicles. That same day, the Delegate Minister for Transportation, Mr. Norman MacMillan, personally announced the excellent news to ATV club representatives meeting in Tadoussac for the annual general assembly of the Fédération Québécoise des Clubs Quads (FQCQ).
