The network of trails

The member clubs of FQCQ offer 17,045 km of trails. Of these, 9,661.15 km can be used in winter only, 7,384 km in summer and 4, 685 km year-round.

Regions open year-round ti ATVing on groomed and marked trails are:

  • Eastern Townships:
  • Mauricie
  • Magdalen Islands
  • Saguenay / Lac St-Jean
  • Bas St-Laurent
  • Outaouais
  • Laurentians
  • Lanaudière
  • Montérégie
  • Québec
  • Abitibi

Regions open in winter only are:

  • Québec
  • Centre-du-Québec
  • Chaudière-Appalches

Regions open in summer only are:

  • North Shore
  • Québec
  • Gaspé

In 2000, the FQCQ set up a numbering system for trails throughout Québec.

Signage is now standard in 50% of the network.

Expanses directly related to ATVing in the whole of Québec are evaluated at approximately 250 million dollars. These expenses occur, for the most part, in regions where the economy is less diversified.

Product development is based on:

  • Quality trails that are well located, well maintained, easy to access, interconnected, fully documented and well mapped out.
  • The development of a honeycomb of networks that can be accessed by the major ATV routes in highly attractive environments.
  • A particular emphasis on regions north of the St-Lawrence having better snow conditions in winter and vast natural spaces easily accessed by the various networks.
